Dr. Alex
Bruton
Co-founder
+ Director
of Innovation

He was founder and faculty director of western Canada’s first innovation design school. He’s been a tenured professor in both a business school and an engineering school, most recently in the role of Teaching Professor which is equivalent to full professor on the teaching and pedagogy stream.
He has served at top organizations and institutions in roles such as Learning Experience Catalyst, International Educator-in-Residence, and Vice President of Pedagogy and Learning. Today he is also Director of Innovation and Learning at The Innographer and CTO at Educators Pro.
For his work in innovation and learning design, he’s been named Entrepreneurial Educator of the Year in Canada, Top 40 Under 40, and Peak Scholar, and he has received many other awards for excellence in teaching, facilitation, and the design of extraordinary learning experiences.
Mr. Jeff
Couillard
Co-founder
+ Director
of Learning and
Development
Outside of the t.school, Jeff Couillard is Co-CEO and Director of Learning and Development at The Ally Co. , a leading Canadian company in the areas of innovation and leadership development.
He has more than twenty years of experience leading transformational change efforts, at the individual, team and organizational levels.
He has a rare combination of breadth and depth as a facilitator, working with clients as diverse as youth and families struggling with addiction and mental health, to shifting organizational practice in the education, health care and social services sectors, to helping teams of entrepreneurs grow billion dollar businesses and enterprise clients navigate the ups and downs of the pandemic and ‘great reset’.
He and the team at The Ally Co. are ‘human-centred, systems-conscious’ practitioners – coaches, strategists and facilitators who work from the perspective that humans are the center of meaningful change, and that the broader system has to be accounted for in the intentional design of truly transformational experiences.
