About the programme

Understand how computing power, algorithms and data support AI. This six-day programme introduces computer vision, natural language processing and large language models through practical tasks and a group project.

No previous programming experience is required. Alongside using AI tools, you’ll discuss questions of privacy, bias and responsibility, and practise explaining a proposed application to others.

Organisers: East China Institute of Talent Science · T.School

What to expect

  • Teaching led by Intel-certified trainers, university academics and industry practitioners.
  • Practical tools, group projects, discussion and university or company visits.
  • A completion certificate jointly issued by Intel and East China Normal University’s national digital literacy and skills training base, as listed for this programme. Confirm current issuing arrangements before applying.

What you’ll study

Understanding AI

Computing power, algorithms, data, generative AI, computer vision and natural language processing, alongside the history of AI and questions of privacy, bias and ethics.

Reasoning about technology

Use projects, case studies and ethical debates to practise critical thinking, systems analysis and problem-solving.

Working on an application

Choose a problem and plan an AI application to address it. Allocate tasks within your group, explain your design decisions and present the proposed solution.

Tools and industry

Try generative AI and large language model applications, and consider uses of computer vision. Company and university laboratory visits are subject to the final programme.
