About the programme

Study psychology through expressive arts workshops and visits in the Greater Bay Area. The programme includes Beijing Normal University’s Zhuhai campus, the University of Macau and The Chinese University of Hong Kong, with visits subject to final arrangements.

Work with visual art, movement, sound and stories to consider emotions, relationships and personal choices. Your group will prepare a creative piece to share at the end of the programme.

What to expect

  • Psychology teaching, university visits and practical workshops.
  • Movement, drawing, mandalas, singing bowls, drumming and psychodrama.
  • Residential life at Beijing Normal University’s Zhuhai campus.
  • An individual or group creative presentation, activities for reflection and self-regulation, and a record of programme completion.

What you’ll study

Making and visual expression

Use colour, line and materials to express experience. Mandala work introduces structure and repetition; plant printing provides an initial shared creative activity.

Movement and sound

Movement workshops, singing bowls, breathing and sensory activities focus on relaxation and self-regulation. A drum circle introduces collaborative rhythm and group interaction. These are educational experiences rather than medical treatment.

Theatre and narrative

Use psychodrama and Playback Theatre to consider roles, relationships and choices. Personal boundaries are respected, with fictional or third-person stories available as ways to participate.
